Many children fear the ‘Monsters Under Their Bed.‘ But how often do we try to define who or what that monster is? Where do they hide? Or, do they? Through this book, I'm attempting to fictionalize my trauma/ oppression/ instances of abuse. Predators linger around us and in most cases, they are people we are familiar with. People who we think we can trust. Parents trust these people too, so they will never doubt or question them. Expressing our childhood fears and traumas may aid our healing process. Many outlets, besides healthy dialogue, have proven cathartic in dealing with difficult emotions. For me, it was creating this book.
