Nuit Blanche 2022
"Unwrapping the Unhappy" is an immersive performance installation that explores grief as a fundamental expression of love and human connection. Rather than viewing grief as a temporary state to overcome, the work acknowledges it as a permanent transformation of the self – an enduring presence that shapes our perception and identity long after loss occurs.
Through the layered exploration of subconscious terrain, this installation invites participants to confront the shadowed aspects of their psyche. The performance navigates the delicate territory between concealment and revelation, suggesting that personal growth emerges from embracing rather than avoiding our vulnerabilities. By creating a space where grief can be witnessed and held, the work offers a meditation on how loss continues to shape us, becoming not just a wound but a lens through which we experience our deepest humanity.

There is something
I want to tell
That is now a wound
My body feels numb
So, I break my dolls
Am I just doomed?
Every room taken
So, I find myself a wall
And my soul marooned.
